Your students will learn to code by building their own 3D game

ENGU is a Czech educational platform where students in grades 6–9 create 3D games and, along the way, learn to think like real programmers. It meets the learning outcomes of the revised computing curriculum (RVP) — and runs on a standard school computer.

Developed at

ENGU was created with input from the makers of the Arma and DayZ game series. Coding that's fun — built on technology trusted by professionals.

Computing has changed. It can no longer be taught the old way.

The revised national curriculum (RVP) places new demands on schools: programming, algorithmic thinking and digital competence. Yet textbooks are lagging behind, and pupils find them dull.

Teachers don't have time to plan lessons from scratch. Head teachers don't want to invest in expensive equipment. And pupils want to create, not copy code off the board.

ENGU tackles all three at once.

How ENGU works

From the first click to a playable game — and to thinking like a programmer.

1

Students build a game

Students put together their own 3D world and characters. No theory — straight into creating.

2

They learn to code

Block-based scripting built on an ‘event → action’ model. Real programming thinking, without the syntax.

3

They see the result

Within a single lesson they have a playable game. Motivation that no textbook can match.

What you get as a pilot school

A complete package, free for the whole autumn semester (September–December 2026)

Direct support

We're on hand throughout the pilot.

What do we ask in return? That you genuinely use ENGU with at least one class, give us honest feedback at the end, and let us mention your experience as a reference. A fair deal.

It's not just a game. It delivers the national curriculum.

ENGU directly meets the expected learning outcomes of the revised computing curriculum in the ‘Algorithms and Programming’ topic area. The teaching materials are mapped to these outcomes point by point.

  • INF-INF-002-ZV9-005 Creates a clearly structured program in a block-based programming language; tests the program and corrects any errors; uses repetition, branching and variables.
  • INF-INF-002-ZV9-006 Breaks a problem down into parts that can be solved separately and designs procedures and algorithms to solve it.
  • INF-INF-002-ZV9-007 Creates a clearly structured program in a block-based programming language, using repetition, branching and variables.
  • INF-INF-002-ZV9-008 Continually checks that the procedure being developed is correct, tests the program, corrects errors, and assesses the efficiency of the procedure and the program.

The computers you already have are all you need

No VR headsets, no special hardware, no investment. ENGU runs on a standard school computer.

PC with 6 GB RAM · standard graphics · internet connectionIf you have an ICT classroom, you're all set.

And after the pilot?

When the pilot ends, you can decide whether to carry on. No automatic commitment.

Simple, transparent, no hidden fees. Once the pilot ends, pilot schools receive a discounted price as a thank-you for working with us.

Frequently asked questions

01

How much will the pilot cost us?

Nothing. Licences, training and teaching materials are all free for the whole term as part of the pilot.

02

Do we need any special equipment?

No. A standard PC with 6 GB RAM is enough.

03

Will our teacher be able to manage it?

Yes. They will receive ready-made teaching materials and training. They don't need to know how to code.

04

How does it fit the national curriculum (RVP)?

ENGU directly meets the learning outcomes of the revised computing curriculum. The teaching materials are linked to them.

05

What if we decide not to continue after the pilot?

That's absolutely fine — there's no commitment. The pilot is risk-free.
